Tour description

With a view onto the gulf of Napoli and situated on volcanic land, Sorrento is the most renowned town on the Sorrentino peninsula and one of the world’s most famous tourist destinations. Birthplace of the famous poet Torquato Tasso, this small and picturesque tourist town is famous for its verdant gardens full of fragrant citrus trees and colorful flowers. The city has been chosen more than once as a film set as in Sofia Loren’s Scandal in Sorrento and the more recent “Love is all you need” with Pierce Brosnan —filmed in the most characteristic places of Sorrento and its peninsula.
While strolling the typical tiny city center streets, you can visit the tiny shops that offer a real and true explosion of colors, local products like limoncello—a digestif made from lemon peel—as well as dairy products like mozzarella and provolone made from the milk coming from nearby Monti Lattari.
Sorrento is also famous for its historical sites like its cathedral, rich in art, marble decorations and inlaid works. In the heart of the city center, not far from the main square, you can visit San Francesco’s Cloister, a XIV century monument featuring breathtaking architecture complete with intertwined columns and antique marble that make it a famous wedding destination for its spectacular photo opportunities.
One of the most unique locations in Sorrento is the Marina Grande fishermen’s port, a place of rare beauty where you can relax in one of the small restaurants along the seaside and enjoy the local delicacies as well as one of the most beautiful views in the world.
After visiting Sorrento, we will discover the most famous and visited archaeological site in the world, the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Pompei—the ancient city perfectly conserved by the violent eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. It is a singular experience to stroll through the ancient city and explore the splendor of the frescoes in majestic villas, the mystique of its spas and the grandeur of ancient temples together with an expert guide. The mystery of the famous “bodies” and the frenetic everyday life that one can still sense in the markets, workshops and the Lupanar will make your tour unforgettable.

Come discover Sorrento and Pompei with us and be part of an unforgettable experience dedicated to nature, history and traditions.
